Heyen Hoops Code of Conduct for Basketball League Players
I pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement while participating in basketball by following the Heyen Hoops Code of Conduct for Athletes.
As a dedicated athlete:
I will promote good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, referees, and other officials at every game, practice, or basketball-related event.
I will show teamwork and respect the decisions of my coach.
I will prioritize the emotional and physical well-being of my teammates over my own personal desire to win.
I will avoid using inappropriate language, gestures, or behaviors while representing my team and Heyen Hoops.
I will work hard and give my best effort at all skills sessions, practices and games.
I will refrain from using electronic devices during practices and games unless granted permission by my coach.
I will recognize that coaches, score keepers and referees may volunteer their time, and I will appreciate their efforts and commitment.
Consequences for Violating the Code of Conduct may include, but are not limited to:
A verbal or written warning from Heyen Hoops.
Suspension from practices and/or games.
Temporary removal from the Heyen Hoops program.
Permanent removal from the Heyen Hoops program.
Remember: Referees and coaches have the right to ask any parent, coach, or player to leave if they are acting in an unsportsmanlike manner.
Heyen Hoops Code of Conduct for Basketball League PARENTS / GUARDIANS
