For over nine years, Heyen Hoops has helped athletes of all ages build the skills, confidence, and love for the game needed to succeed both on and off the court.
Our youth programs are designed to create a positive first experience with basketball while teaching the fundamentals that every player needs to develop long-term. Through age-appropriate instruction, engaging activities, competition, and encouragement, we help young athletes learn the game the right way while having fun.

PROGRAM BENEFITS
Skill Development
Every session is designed to teach and reinforce basketball fundamentals through age-appropriate drills and activities. Athletes develop ball handling, passing, shooting, footwork, coordination, and overall basketball IQ in a structured learning environment.
Fun & Engaging
Young athletes learn best when they enjoy the process. Our sessions combine skill development with games, challenges, competitions, and activities that keep players active, engaged, and excited to come back each week.
Build Confidence
Confidence is built through repetition, encouragement, and small successes. We strive to create an environment where athletes feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, and growing both as players and as people.
Track Progress
Development doesn't happen overnight. Our coaches help athletes understand what they are doing well and where they can continue to improve so that players and parents can see growth over time.
Positive Environment
We believe athletes improve most when they enjoy coming to the gym. Our coaches create an encouraging atmosphere focused on effort, attitude, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Open Gym Access
Program participants receive access to designated open gym opportunities where they can get additional shots, extra reps, and continue building confidence outside of structured training sessions.
Virtual Training Library
Athletes and families gain access to the Heyen Hoops Virtual Training Library, providing drills, workouts, and skill-building resources that can be used at home or in the gym to continue development between sessions.
